I am the proud owner of 4 works by Juliana. The first 2 are miniatures in pen and wash, which she loved doing as a means of recording travels. She was a very accomplished drafts person and the 3rd work is charcoal and pastel done on coloured canson paper. The water colour of cosmos is a particular favourite of mine, done in the way that the flowers grow in the veld as opposed to the usual rendition of cosmos in a still life. The subtle use of colour and form in that amazing technique never seizes to intrigue me.
